I’ve finally done it, McCleary Management is in full swing! This has been a long time coming, so it feels really good to say that. I have been planning events for 7 years in a number of different roles and independently. For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed planning and coordinating events. For my primary school leavers play I asked for a minor role, so that I could be behind-the-scenes because I wanted to make sure that everything was running smoothly and because I wanted to pull the curtains!
I love everything about this industry, from receiving the brief from a client, to the planning, right up to the big day. Whether it’s a wedding, a conference or a product launch, nothing makes me happier than the customer’s satisfaction after a successful event. This of course doesn’t mean that nothing will go wrong, but hey, you’ve also have got to love the troubleshooting aspect of event planning if you’re gonna be successful in this industry!
So why are we here? Simply put, with all the years that I have been an event planner, I have developed a wealth experience that I want to share with you. What can you expect? I will be using this blog to share tips, how to’s, best practice advice, worst practice warnings and a few funny stories and experiences along the way too.
